![]() So, when you offer the characters a raw egg TWICE, they will say "No, not this, I need something else for a change." You ARE ON A F****** ISLAND, YOU STUPID B****. As a castaway, you CANNOT be expecting a full course. ![]() There is also the WORST kind of puzzle: eating. This woman is ideal as Kate Walker from the Syberia series, but in this one, it's like a hotline for doctors "now I need my bandage" she says, in an all seductive voice. The second one, this one, is like the first - except someone decided to take the first and sh** all over it. ![]() Refreshing, great puzzles (although you might need a walkthrough for all the combinations), great cutscenes and graphics and a great ending, maybe a fitting ending to the game and not to leave room for a sequel. The developers seem to have been obsessed with shoving as many truly awful minigames as they could into this thing.Įxample 1: Whereas in the first game you can make a whole collection of pottery with a few clicks, and use the whole collection as a single inventory item to collect things which require containers, this game makes you play a minigame just to craft each individual clay container and then it makes you micromanage those individual containers in your inventory.Įxample 2: Despite being full of terrible minigames, this is still the type of game where every item in your inventory could be vital to advancing to the next stage of the game, and yet there are a couple of instances where you get surprised by a monkey stealing items from your inventory, and have to play a minigame (requiring split second reaction clicking, of course) to keep those items it's trying to steal the items it tries to steal are random, so you could potentially lose items that would brick your playthrough if you don't have them. This is labeled as a puzzle game, but most of the gameplay is in fact not puzzle-based, its mostly tedious minigames which more often than not require split second reaction clicking. Some of it is fine, much of it is terrible. The second big problem is the gameplay itself. ![]() The first big problem is that there are huge frame rate issues the game is ancient and my card isn't, but I'm lucky to get 10fps in RtMI2. The first game is fun but this is a truly awful experience. ![]()
